TYPE: Heshota Black-on-Red  

AKA: Heshotauthla Black-on-Red

DATE: A.D. 1300 to 1400 (Oppelt,2008;17)    

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Primary interior designs, occasionally secondary exterior designs.

KEY DIFFERENCES:  Thick, often runny glaze paint on an all red to orange slip. Except for the earliest examples, designs have more open space than the earlier White Mountain Redware types.
