DATE:  A.D. 700 to 1250 (Rakita and Raymond, 2003;160)

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: Interiors, occasionally exteriors.

COMMON DESIGNS: Intricate designs that may include hatching, dots, zigzags, diamonds, etc. Solids usually are small. Rims are usually painted.


KEY DIFFERENCES: Narrow line designs that are not polished over.

COMMENTS: This type has not been formally recognized (new type).
