TYPE: Mata Polychrome


DATE: A.D. 700 to 1250 (Rakita and Raymond, 2003;160)


COMMON DESIGNS: Designs are like Mata Red-on-Brown Textured, except that black is also used with the red. Rims are usually painted.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Thin red and black painted designs on a brown background, occasional texturing.

COMMENTS: Later examples of Mata Polychrome resemble Dublan Polychrome.
