TYPE: Moccasin Gray (Neckbanded)

DATE: A.D. 775 to 950 (Oppelt 2002:35)

KEY DIFFERENCES: Wide coils show on the necks of these vessels. Coils are usually about one centimeter or wider and appear smeared yet rough to the touch. Coils do not overlap as in the clapboard style.
