TYPE: Pinyon Gray

(AKA Pinyon Utility)

DATE: A.D. 1800 to Present (Oppelt, 2002:42)

BACKGROUND COLOR: Gray to black.

TEMPER: Coarse ground sherds.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Decoration coils near the rim are molded rather than applied, as a result, the coils are usually not raised as high on the vessels surface as applied coils of Navajo Gray.
