TYPE: Showlow Glaze-on-White

BOWL DESIGN PLACEMENT: If any bowls exist, primary interior designs with secondary exterior designs.

COMMON DESIGNS: Jars usually have Fourmile designs within heavy banding lines that are usually connected to the design. Framing lines are usually twice the size as hatching lines.

KEY DIFFERENCES: Heavy banding lines connect to design, framing lines within the design are usually twice the size as hatching lines. Banding lines are usually twice the size as framing lines.

COMMENTS: Dates are based on its companion type: Show Low Polychrome,

AD 1325 - 1400 (Carlson 1970,77).

As you can see in the photos, occasionally the glaze paint bled an

attractive pink stain into the white slip when fired.
