COMMON FORMS: Bowls.

COMMON BACKGROUND COLORS: Brown interiors, bowl exteriors slipped red.

MICACEOUS TEMPER: Finely ground or none

DESIGN PLACEMENT: Usually interiors of bowls.

COMMON DESIGNS: Straight broad lines.

COMMENTS: This type has not been formally recognized (new type).

 

    1Y Hohokam Broadline Purple Polychrome.

This sherd is Purple-on-Brown on the interior, and the exterior is red slipped.

It has a black carbon core and measures approximately 1" or 2.5cm. long.
